How to Edit a Book Cover, Title and Author Before Kindle Transfer

Find the editing actions

1. Find the book on the Bookify bookshelf and open its menu.
2. Use Rename to change the title or Edit Author to update the author, when available.
3. If the menu offers Edit Cover, choose your image and save.
4. Check the bookshelf result before transferring.

Available actions vary by file format and app version. If an action is missing, check the book's current format; not every format supports every edit.

Filename versus book metadata

A filename identifies the saved file. An ebook can also contain its own title and author fields, which Kindle may use for display. Use Bookify's editing actions to change book details rather than relying on a filename change alone.

Transfer the updated copy

Follow the transfer steps to download the updated file onto Kindle. Changes on the phone are not automatically pushed to a copy already downloaded.

If similar entries appear on Kindle, check which copy you opened. Before removing an old copy, check whether you need to preserve its annotations or notes.

Why can the Kindle thumbnail differ?

The Bookify bookshelf image, the cover stored inside the file and the Kindle library thumbnail are different parts of the workflow. Open the book and check its cover page, then compare the library thumbnail. Format, firmware and device caching can affect the final result; the phone preview alone cannot guarantee identical Kindle display.
