Quick answer
Choose Bookify for local Wi-Fi transfer from iPhone, iPad or Mac when the Kindle browser works. Choose Amazon Send to Kindle when its document library and cross-device syncing matter. With a computer and an unavailable Kindle browser, consider USB with a compatible file.
Compare the workflows
| Method | Useful when | Requirements | File path |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bookify | You want local delivery from an Apple device and optional book preparation | iPhone, iPad or Mac; same Wi-Fi; working Kindle browser | Import and prepare locally, then download over the LAN |
| Amazon Send to Kindle | You want Amazon's document library and sync across supported devices and apps | Amazon account and available official service | Upload to Amazon for processing and delivery |
| Kindle email | You already use approved senders and email attachments | Kindle email address, approved sender and supported attachment | Amazon cloud processing |
| USB | You have a computer, need wired management or cannot use the Kindle browser | Suitable cable, supported computer connection and compatible ebook | Copy from computer to device |
Bookify fits local delivery. Amazon's workflow fits cloud-library use. If you use an Android phone, check the current sending options on Amazon's official page.
Bookify: start with a file on your phone
Choose Kindle in Bookify, import the file, then download it through the Kindle browser over the same Wi-Fi. An EPUB import is prepared as AZW3 or MOBI; the original EPUB is not simply copied unchanged.
Follow the complete iPhone transfer guide. Bookify does not remove DRM, and format support does not mean every reading service allows file export.
Amazon Send to Kindle: for cloud delivery
Open the official Send to Kindle page, sign in and follow its file-upload and delivery options. The receiving device must support the applicable Amazon service.
Check the official page for current file types, sizes, region and device availability. After sending, wait for syncing and open the document on your device.
Kindle email: for an established email workflow
Check the Kindle email address and approved sender in Amazon's content and device settings. Send a supported attachment and confirm delivery.
If it does not arrive, check the approved sender, attachment type and any error email from Amazon. Bookify local transfer does not use email and cannot fix Amazon account delivery settings.
USB: when a browser is unavailable
Prepare a Kindle-compatible file, then use the USB connection method supported by your Kindle and computer. An EPUB source may need conversion; renaming an extension is not enough. File access varies between Kindle models and computer systems, so follow the device's official instructions.
After copying and safely disconnecting, open the book from the Kindle library. See older Kindle transfer options for devices with limited network access.
Questions You May Have
Is Kindle email separate from Send to Kindle?

Bookify handles local transfer. It does not add books to the Amazon personal-document library or provide Amazon cross-device reading-progress sync.
Is Bookify free?
Bookify is free to download with optional in-app purchases. Check the app for free limits and the local App Store for current subscription or lifetime pricing.
